What's unusual about this story is Morrow wrote & drew this about 1974 or 75 and it went unpublished until 1979. In the meanwhile he took the identical script, changed the main character into the female "Stingaree" and did a full-colour marker & dye version for HEAVY METAL. As fate would have it, both version ended up being published the same month in 1979.
