I saw Gray Morrow in 2000 at the DC - Comic-Com (which is a really small affair)..he was sitting at a table with a stack of books to sign, but everybody passed him by. He looked really depressed and only when he died a year later did I find out how sick he was ... I feel your blog does a much better job showcasing his talent than the book/retrospective that was out at the time - and that he was signing.
I meant to add - if you are familiar with Richard Prince - he sells "fine art" paintings of nurses for multi -millions...funny how that works because this is just like a Richard Prince!
Alan Kupperberg, artist and friend of Gray Morrow, has gone on to a successful artistic career at Marvel, DC and NATIONAL LAMPOON (amongst many other venues) and now he's available for personal private commissions! For more details you can contact Alan directly at:
First published in 1968 (I was 9!), I have been writing professionally part-time for more than two decades. I have been freelancing for various authors, editors and publishers for the past three years on the behind-the-scenes tasks of writing.
