Gray by Netzer and Kupperberg

I finally found the January, 2002 issue of COMIC BOOK ARTIST in a box at the very back of my closet. This issue, # 17, features nearly 20 pages in memory of the then-recently deceased Gray Morrow. Amongst all the photos and art one finds these two lovely portraits of Gray by two great friends of my blogs--Alan Kupperberg and Michael Netzer.

  1. Two great portraits! I keep flip-flopping on which I like better. Currently I am loving the Netzer for it's realism, but in a moment, I will prefer the Kupperberg for it's romanticism. But then, why choose? Both are fantastic. Man, I so miss Comic Book Artist.
