Dread of Night

DREAD OF NIGHT was one of several short-lived but classy horror titles published by Bruce Hamilton in the early 1990's. Gray Morrow contributed to most of them and was joined by such talents as Nick Cuti, Bill Pearson, Batton Lash, Ralph Reese and more. Here's his back cover from issue 1 as well as his nifty front cover sci-fi scene from issue 2.

  1. I wrote one of the stories in this book--maybe in this very issue! I'll see if I can dig up my copy. It was tremendous fun writing for the short-lived Hamilton line. I got to write for my childhood fave, Pat Boyette, and I did one story with my sometime partner, John Heebink, who could really do some GREAT work, when inspired.

  2. That logo reminds me of Marvel's Marvel Fanfare logo.

  3. I just recently got hold of the few missing issues of these runs I needed. I'm planning a good close reading soon with some detailed reviews. These are fantastic books, with some really delicious artwork by Morrow and Joe Staton and others.

    Rip Off
